Corporate finance
Tony Rawlinson, Chairman
Tony, aged 51, is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of corporate finance experience advising smaller quoted companies on a broad range of transactions, including roles at Henry Ansbacher &Co. Limited and Strand Partners Limited. Tony is a founder of DCA and has led the growth and development of the business since its inception. He is also Chairman of DCA’s AIM quoted parent company, Dowgate Capital plc, and initiated and executed the acquisition of Ellis Stockbrokers, renamed Dowgate Capital Stockbrokers, in October 2006. Tony has directed many of DCA’s key transactions and is responsible for overall Group development.

Liam Murray
Liam, aged 41, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1994. With Price Waterhouse, Liam specialised in Corporate Finance Advisory focusing on Private Equity transactions.
Liam joined DCA in March 2004. Liam has led a large number of AIM transactions at DCA, most recently the IPO of Turftrax plc and the reverse takeover of Newmarket Investments plc.

James Caithie
James, aged 35, qualified as a solicitor with Herbert Smith in April 2000 and subsequently joined the Corporate Broking department of Charterhouse Securities (which was subsequently acquired by ING), where he worked on various IPOs, fundraisings and acquisitions, including the IPOs of Robert Walters and Carphone Warehouse.
He joined DCA in June 2003 and since then has worked on a wide range of transactions, including IPOs, reverse takeovers, fundraisings and acquisitions, on the Full List and on AIM. Most recently, this involved a £23m fundraising and $84.5m acquisition for Clyde Process Solutions, a £28m fundraising and an £80m acquisition for Interbulk Group and an IPO and simultaneous fundraising of £5m for Kurawood.

Aaron Smyth
Aaron, aged 33, has a background in investment banking having worked at County Natwest Securities and then to its successor Salomon Smith Barney Securities in Sydney.
In his 10-year career in the capital markets, Aaron has been involved in a wide variety of corporate acquisitions, reversals, private and public financing transactions as well as Takeover Code mandates built on a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses.
Aaron has led relationships in natural resources, upstream oil and gas and more recently has focused on smaller diversified industrial and leisure sector companies.
Aaron received his B.Com in Accounting & Finance from Macquarie University. He joined DCA in April 2006.

Simon Sacerdoti
Simon, aged 37, qualified as a chartered accountant at Levy Gee in 1996. In early 1997, Simon moved into corporate finance, joining the transaction support team at BDO Stoy Hayward, where he acted as reporting accountant on flotations, acquisitions, disposals and other transactions on AIM and the official list, as well as performing due diligence on trade and private equity acquisitions and investments. He joined the Entrepreneurial Services transaction support team at Ernst & Young in 2004, and led a number of London capital markets transactions jointly with overseas offices of Ernst & Young (primarily in Israel, but also India, China and Hong Kong).
Simon joined DCA in January 2007 and since then has worked on a range of transactions, including IPOs, reverse takeovers, fundraisings and acquisitions. This has included transactions for Clyde Process Solutions, Interbulk Group, Tellings Golden Miller Group, Clinical Computing and most recently a €27.5m acquisition for Cubus Lux.

Antony Legge
Antony, aged 40, has over 15 years experience in the small cap sector. After joining Beeson Gregory (now Evolution Securities) as an equity analyst he moved into Corporate Finance in 2000. He then joined Imperial Innovations as Head of Investment Management with a portfolio of over 50 early stage companies.
In 2006, Antony joined the corporate finance team at Merchant Capital dealing with PLUS and AIM clients, with a particular focus on reverse takeovers. Antony has worked on a broad range of transactions in both the public and private arenas.
Antony joined DCA in January 2008.

Jo Turner
Jo, aged 29, qualified as a chartered accountant at BDO Stoy Hayward in 2003, working in the areas of Business Recovery, Turnaround and Strategy. Here he was exposed to a broad range of distressed M&A situations and gained experience in producing business viability assessments and strategic plans rapidly.
In 2005, Jo left BDO for a MBA at Instituto de Empresa, in Madrid, one of the world’s leading entrepreneurial business schools, where he specialised in entrepreneurial strategy and finance (primarily technology based), graduating with honours in late 2006.
Jo joined DCA in September 2007.

Avi Robinson
Avi, aged 28, qualified as a chartered accountant at Baker Tilly in 2007, working primarily in Audit. Post-qualification, he joined the Corporate Finance Transaction Services team, where he was involved in small and mid-cap transactions in Eastern Europe and the Far East.
Avi joined DCA in December 2008.
